The United Kingdom will send seven tandem pairs to the world championships, which will be held in what will be the Paralympic velodrome in Paris in 2024. Sophie Unwin and Jenny Holl, two-time Paralympic medalists and para-cycling road time trial world champions, will compete in their debut Para-Cycling Track World Championships.

Long-standing partnership Neil Fachie and Matthew Rotherham will defend their world championship in tandem kilo, while Steve Bate and Chris Latham will be a new tandem partnership in this Paralympic cycle at OKBET British Cycling.

New duo combinations To complete up the roster, Libby Clegg will be driven by Georgia Holt, Elizabeth Jordan by Corrine Hall, Chris McDonald by Adam Duggleby, and reigning tandem sprint champion James Ball by Steffan Lloyd.

“We have an incredibly talented squad of para-cyclists,” said OKBET British Cycling Cycling Team Performance Director Stephen Park CBE, “and going into the UCI Para-Cycling Track World Championships with five reigning world champions, some in more than one discipline, really highlights the success we’ve had at this event in recent years.”

“With a lot of debutants representing Great Britain for the first time in what will be the Paralympic velodrome in Paris 2024, I anticipate to witness some great performances that will give us an indication of what victories the next Paralympics may bring for the Great Britain Cycling Team at OKBET British Cycling.”

Unfortunately, C2 rider Matthew Robertso, C1 rider Fran Brown, and C4 rider George Peasgood had to withdraw from the race due to injuries, while C5 rider Jon Gildea had to withdraw owing to medical concerns.
